Autumn apple tree DELIKATES

Delikates – an especially productive autumn apple variety. The fruit is harvested at the end of the first decade of September–beginning of the second. In storage it keeps until the end of December. The apples are very tasty. sweet-and-sour. The skin is thin. light green. with a washed red blush and bloom. The flesh is white or slightly greenish. juicy. firm. dessert. The trees are low-growing (when young). the crown is flat-round. thickening.  more than moderately resistant to scab and bark diseases. Resistant to frost. When it bears heavily. the fruit is small. therefore, to improve quality, the fruitlets are thinned.
