NEW IN LITHUANIA: White Peach 'ICE PEACH'

'Ice Peach'  is a distinctive, mid-late peach variety developed in Germany. It stands out for its unusual appearance: the fruits have milky-white skin and white flesh, making them especially decorative and original. It is valued for its excellent dessert quality, sweet flavour, regular fruiting and good frost resistance.

Fruit is large to very large, weighing about 150–300 g. The skin is milky white, medium-thick and softly fuzzy. The flesh is white, firm, crisp, very juicy and aromatic. The flavour is exceptionally sweet, with only a slight hint of acidity. The fruits are round and symmetrical, with a shallow groove. The stone does not separate from the flesh.

Ripening: the first half of August, from the first ten days of the month to mid-August, depending on location and weather. The fruit ripens evenly, stays on the tree for a long time and does not fall.

The variety is self-fertile, so no additional pollinator is required. However, planting other peach varieties nearby may increase the crop.

Tree: moderate vigour, naturally rounded crown. A mature tree grows to about 3 m tall. The variety is long-lived and bears regularly.

'Ice Peach' has good frost resistance, and its mid-season flowering helps reduce the risk of damage from spring frosts.

Thanks to its firm flesh, the fruit travels well and can be kept in a cool place for up to 4 weeks without losing quality. Excellent eaten fresh, for desserts and for various forms of processing.
