Mini Plum 'ROBUSTO'
Mini plum 'Robusto' is a compact, highly productive plum, ideal for small gardens, yards and even growing in a large terrace pot. The tree does not grow large, making it easy to care for, prune and harvest.
Main advantages
Small, compact growth - ideal for limited spaces
Abundant fruiting - often rewards you with regular crops
Easy to care for - easier to shape the crown and pick the fruit
Suitable for pots - an excellent choice for a terrace or balcony in a large container
Fruit
The fruits are plum-like and aromatic, suitable for eating fresh and for jams, compotes, baking and freezing. The flavour is generally pleasant and sweet-and-sour, depending on ripeness and growing conditions.
Growing and care
Location: sunny, warm and somewhat sheltered from wind
Soil: fertile, well-drained and moderately moist; it does not like waterlogging
Watering: important during the first year and in dry spells, especially when grown in a pot
Pruning: light; maintain compact growth and remove damaged branches or those growing towards the centre of the crown
Wintering: overwinters well in the ground; when grown in a pot, protect the container from severe frost
