Sweet Cherry Collection 'CARMEN' and 'BURLAT'

CARMEN -   A mid-early sweet cherry variety, ripening in mid-July. The berries are very attractive, dark red, large (10–13 g), sweet and dessert-like, and suitable for transport. The skin is bright red, later turning black; it is of medium firmness, and the flesh is dark red. The tree bears abundantly and regularly. The stone is medium-sized and comes away easily. The berries are eaten fresh as a dessert and are also suitable for processing, especially for compotes and freezing. The variety is winter-hardy and disease-resistant. 

BURLAT - Sweet cherry 'Burlat' (Latin: Prunus avium 'Burlat') is a very early, moderately productive dessert variety developed in France. The berries ripen at the end of June.  It bears abundantly every year. The fruits are large, broadly heart-shaped and dark red. The flesh is firm and juicy, and the stone separates easily. The berries are high quality and suitable for transport. The variety is resistant to frost and diseases. 

These two varieties grow well together. The two-year-old plants were grown outdoors in the ground and are about 150 cm tall.
