New sweet cherry TAMARA

TAMARA is a new late sweet cherry variety developed in the Czech Republic. It produces exceptionally large, round heart-shaped, dark red, shiny and firm fruit with a balanced sweet and tangy taste. Ripe cherries can weigh 12-14 g or more. They are sweet and juicy with firm flesh, delicious freshly picked.

Features: The harvest ripens only in the second half of July. Crops regularly and abundantly, with attractive clusters of white spring flowers. Cross-pollinating, so plant another sweet cherry that flowers at the same time. Burlat is a suitable pollinator. Sweet cherries need an open, sunny, elevated location where water does not collect; groundwater should be at least 1 m below the surface. Plant trees about 2-3 m apart, depending on vigour.
