Yellow tomentosa cherry SNOWIT (limited edition)

Very frost- and disease-resistant bush cherry. The compact, dense bush grows about 1.5 x 2 m and tolerates temperatures down to -40°C. It flowers early in April and fruits in July, with the yellow berries ripening together and staying on the branches. They weigh about 2 g, are sweet with light acidity and suitable fresh or processed. Fully self-pollinating.

Unripe fruit can be pickled as an olive substitute. Grows in various well-drained soils, including acidic and alkaline soils. Prefers a sunny location but also fruits in partial shade. Likes more moist soil; mulch in sandy soil and windy locations. Tolerates hot summers but should be sheltered from dry winds. Damaged roots may produce suckers. Supplied in a 2 l pot.
