RENKLODĖ ALTHANA plum

Very old Czech variety, bred in 1550-1560. The tree grows at a medium rate and forms a rounded crown. The medium-sized to large fruit weighs about 50 g, with pink-yellow to violet-red skin covered by an attractive waxy bloom. The golden-yellow flesh is firm, juicy, aromatic, sweet and very tasty. Ripens at the end of August. One of the best dessert and processing plums. Prefers fertile, moist soil and is fairly frost-hardy. Uleno Renklodė is the best pollinator.
