Winter apple tree GALA

Very popular dessert-flavoured winter apple variety. The semi-dwarf trees begin fruiting the year after planting and crop abundantly every year. Thin the young fruit because the tree sets many apples.

Fruit: regular conical or round-conical shape, medium-sized and delicately sweet. The thin, smooth, shiny greenish-yellow skin is almost entirely covered by a bright purple-red blush. The flesh is creamy, firm, crisp and juicy. In rainy weather the skin may crack.

Picking time: early October; keeps until the end of March. Pollinators include Gloster and Šampion.
